Working with and being led by schools is crucial to CAER. The school engagement group will ensure CAER reach as many schools, teachers and communities in Bradford as possible and ensure that they are informed on what is occurring within wider CAER led work.  This theme group will also co-ordinate, plan, and support school engagement work (SEW).

School engagement work (SEW) within CAER is defined as any activities/events occurring in schools which are informed by world leading applied science, led and designed by world leading applied scientists and for the purposes of educating and inspiring the children/pupils, schools and teachers of Bradford to:

  1. Better understand applied science
  2. Why participation in applied science makes Bradford and the world a better place
  3. Consider the pursuit of applied science as a career choice for the future

This work is led by Dr Daniel Bingham and Dr Emily Williams.
